DESCRIPTION:January 18 and 27 are memorable days in the history of Leningrad. For every resident of the city on the Neva – these are Leningrad Victory Days. In January 1943\, on January 18\, Soviet soldiers managed to break through the blockade of Leningrad\, and on January 27\, 1944\, the blockade of the city was completely lifted. These victories came at a high price. More than a million defenders and residents of the city died in 872 days – the terrible tragedy of Leningrad lasted so long.\nIn January\, the Russian Museum wants to remind residents and guests of St. Petersburg of the modest contribution of its employees and employees of the Summer and Mikhailovsky Gardens in preserving these world-famous historical and cultural monuments from destruction.\nJanuary 17\, 2020 at 12 o’clock on the berm of the Mikhailovsky Palace the first excursion “Gardens of the Russian Museum during the Siege of Leningrad” will begin.
