In the Mikhailovsky Garden on September 28, the annual action of the project of the Russian Museum “Tree of Life” took place. The “Tree of Life” project has been taking place in the gardens of the Russian Museum since 2014. Over the years of the campaign, 40 large-sized trees have been planted in the gardens: oaks, lindens, maples and elms. The sponsors and participants of the program were famous scientists, athletes, actors, large companies – partners of the Russian Museum.

This time representatives of Lenta LLC took part in the action. They planted a linden tree in an alley that was recreated in 2003 on the site of a tennis court.
A personalized medal is attached to the linden tree, indicating that this tree was planted by LLC “Lenta”.

The new tree will be entered in the register and on the electronic map GIS BIS, which contains information about all plantings of the gardens of the Russian Museum.

Thanks to the established tradition of planting young trees to replace the lost ones, new trees appear in the Mikhailovsky and Summer Gardens within the framework of the Tree of Life charity event, which help preserve the appearance of the historical garden for future generations.
