The tradition of installing flower vases on the Main Parterre during the summer period dates back to the times of Peter the Great. Later, as a result of numerous floods, the vases were lost or taken out of the garden. During the restoration of the Summer Garden, decorative items were recreated based on shards found during archaeological work. All of them were performed by the Pallada company.
