Spring is rapidly coming into its own, and in the Summer Garden the first snow-white snowdrops have begun to appear from under the snow.<\/h4>\n

Botanists call “snowdrops” Galanthus (Galanthus). This name is derived from the Greek words “gala” – milky and “anthos” – flower. In horticultural culture, the plant has been used since 1500 for bouquet plantings in flower beds.<\/h4>\n

Low, perennial bulbous plant with linear leaves. The flowers are white with a green spot, drooping with a pleasant aroma.<\/h4>\n

Snowdrops are among the first to bloom and their flowering time depends on weather conditions, flowering can last for a month.<\/h4>\n
