In 1980, tulips were sent aboard the Salyut 6 space station. Scientists assumed that flowers would bloom in space. Unfortunately, the miracle did not happen then – the tulips withered the next day. Upon returning from the flight, cosmonaut V. Lyakhov desperately said: \u201cApparently, no one can live in space!\u201d But Heroes of the Soviet Union can also make mistakes.<\/h4>\n
In space, flowers will smell differently than on Earth. The aroma of a flower depends on many conditions. And some skillfully use this. The scents of various types of roses grown on the space shuttle Discovery provided the basis for Shiseido’s Zen perfume.<\/h4>\n
Since the late 90s, Russian scientists have been conducting research, they are working on creating a space greenhouse. There is a Lada greenhouse on the ISS, in which potatoes, radishes, barley, etc. are grown. However, many goals are pursued: from purely scientific interests to relieving the stress of astronauts in extraterrestrial conditions.<\/h4>\n
