Exhibition “Roman with the Revolution” in the Museum of Nonconformist Art
October 14 at 17:00 in the Museum of Nonconformist Art will open the international festival “Art of the Revolution / Revolution of Art: Petrograd, Leningrad, Petersburg.” The large-scale exposition, timed to the 100th anniversary of the Red October, will unfold immediately on several exhibition grounds and will be accompanied by an educational program, performances and concerts.
A large-scale project “Roman with the Revolution” will be opened in the big hall, prepared by the curators Anastasia Pacey (RU) and Frank Motz (DE) within the framework of the cooperation of the Museum of Nonconformist Art and the gallery “ACC Galerie Weimar” (Weimar, Germany).
What is the reverse side of the revolution, and what remains when the “novel” is over? How did the mechanism of the revolution change for 100 years after the Great October Revolution? What does humanity learn from the revolutions of the past? Are peaceful revolutions possible, such as the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989? What is the role of art that accompanies revolutionary movements around the world? These and many other questions are addressed by the participants of the exhibition “Roman with the Revolution” – more than 20 artists from different countries of the world.
