This year Easter is very unusual.

Firstly, the main events related to self-isolation came to the post.

Secondly, this year it will be difficult to exchange Easter kisses.

And thirdly, and most importantly for the gardens of the Russian Museum –
At the end of the XIX century, a tradition arises for Easter to give flowering plants in pots, which were brought to flowering in greenhouses. At the beginning of the 20th century, in the Mikhailovsky Garden greenhouse, the gardener of the Russian Museum grew blooming hyacinths and tulips by Easter. This product is in high demand. Agree, it’s nice in the middle of either winter or spring to receive blooming hyacinths.

This Easter, hyacinths bloomed on the lawns of the Summer Garden. Tulips bloomed in the Mikhailovsky Garden. Crocuses, scylls, hionodoxes bloom in both gardens.
