Today on the island of Kizhi there is a big holiday “EcoKizhi World Environment Day 2022”, at the holiday you can make an eco bag with your own hands from old things, try yourself in the scrapbooking technique, decorate compositions from willow manhole, listen to a lecture on separate waste collection, get acquainted with an assortment of the pharmacy garden of Kizhi Island, look into the eyes of a real viper.

One of the main events was the ceremonial planting of the “Petrovsky” oak from the Summer Garden, the planting was attended by employees of the gardens of the Russian Museum and employees of the architectural ensemble of the island.

The welcome speech was delivered by the Deputy Director, Fr. Kizhi – Dmitry Lugovoy, the chief curator of the gardens of the Russian Museum – Alexandra Alekseeva spoke about the program.
