PRIMULA BLOOMED (Prímula)
The name of the plant comes from the Latin “primus” – early, first.
Flowers appear in early spring before the snow has completely melted, hence the Russian name “primrose”. Primrose is also called “lambs” – due to the similarity of the young leaves to the backs of lambs (wavy and pubescent).
Primrose has been known since ancient times and was considered the medicinal flower of Olympus; information about its magical, healing and taste benefits has been preserved in the legends of many peoples.
It is now known that one primrose leaf can replenish the daily requirement of the human body for vitamin C.
