SIBERIAN SCILLA
Siberian bluebloom blooms in the Mikhailovsky Garden.
Perennial bulbous plant of the Hyacinth family. Grows in the south of the European part of Russia, Crimea, the Caucasus and Southern Europe. The plant has been widely used in ornamental gardening since the end of the 18th century. The best places to grow scilla are under trees, around clumps of bushes and on lawns. In the Mikhailovsky Garden, the lawns on which Siberian scilla grows are colored blue during flowering.
