We all admire beautiful butterflies, count the points on the wings of ladybugs, and know that there are harmful insects. But we cannot even assume that these same “harmful insects” can benefit green spaces – they are bird food, regulate the number of other types of insects, and contribute to the conversion of organic matter into a convenient form for plant nutrition. Entomologists, specialists in the study of insects, help us figure this out. But they still cannot come to our gardens, for a reason known to all. We sincerely thank them for participating in research activities in the gardens of the Russian Museum!
