VESTI GARDEN, FLOWED HEPPER
In the Mikhailovsky Garden the liverwort bloomed, as in all the suburbs of St. Petersburg. We wrote about this flowering plant in early spring more than once in our group, although beauty can be talked about endlessly.
In the summer, the liver is almost invisible. But if you look closely, you can notice its leaves, similar to the contour of the liver. By the way, hence its name Hepatica – means the liver. In Russia, this flower is also called coppice – according to its habitat. And in the spring, when everything was naked around, the blue flowers of the liverwort can not be overlooked.
In Europe, the liverwort is being cultivated in the middle of the 15th century. But in St. Petersburg, initially the liverwort was practically not used in garden decoration, because it was widespread in the groves that filled the city under construction. Only when the English garden style began to take root in Russian landscape architecture, and the liverwort populations disappeared from the city, they began to use it for spring decoration of flower beds.
Health to you and your loved ones. Admire the photos and hope to see you soon.
