HARE’S STORY CONTINUES
The fluffy guest who visited the Summer Garden last week and left only footprints in the snow after his visit does not seem to be going to leave the historical center of our city.
Last night, employees again found traces of the presence of the hero of folk tales. After inspecting the garden and consulting with specialists from the Committee for Nature Management, it was found that the fluffy guest, the hare, really came to us from the forest, and did not escape from a cage in a city apartment. Traces of his stay in the garden were found among the bushes of common hazel, brilliant cotoneaster and actinidia lianas, because it is the bark and young branches of tree and shrub vegetation in winter that make up the main diet of hares.
The forest dweller, who settled in the territory of the Summer Garden in the center of the metropolis this winter, can not only suffer himself, but also cause irreparable damage to green spaces.
The specialists decided to observe and track the activities of the furry guest in order to assess the need for its return to its natural habitat.
