Many fledglings of different bird species will soon appear again in the gardens of the Russian Museum. Because of the cold spring this year, tits took a long time to build their nests. By the way, the same story happened in the spring of 2020.

Over the past week, tits have begun actively incubating clutches of eggs, which means that in no more than a week they will begin feeding their chicks. Warming is in full swing, the greenery on trees and shrubs is blooming and the first leaf-eating pests are appearing. It is the caterpillars of moths and moths that tits feed their chicks.

Please note that fledgling birds should not be picked up and transplanted, it is better to simply pass by – their parents are watching over their children, the main thing here is not to reveal their presence to predators.

The photographs show a great tit on a nest and its eggs.
