OAK IN MIKHAILOVSKY GARDEN
Dear subscribers, in the photo you see an English oak in a winter outfit. This oak has the status of “Wildlife Monument Tree”. In 2014, the wellbore was pounded. Based on the results of this study, the age of the oak was determined, which turned out to be 278 years. This tree was planted during the reign of Empress Elizabeth Petrovna.
Garden trees are equally beautiful in winter and summer. Only if in the summer we admire the shape of the crown and the texture of the leaves, then in the winter – the structure of skeletal branches.
Enjoy your walks in the gardens of the Russian Museum. Wonderful photos can be taken in winter.
