In the ecological park “Bezhin meadow XXI century” in the Chern region of the Tula region a natural art object Labyrinth “Forest of Interethnic Unity” is created.
October 29 in the Labyrinth was planted alley of 36 seedlings of oak, brought by employees of the department of gardens of the Russian Museum from St. Petersburg. Young oaks were grown by the employees of the Summer Garden from acorns collected from the oldest oak of Peter’s time. In 2014, the Certification Commission of the All-Russian program “Trees – Monuments of Living Nature” gave the title “TREE-MONUMENT OF LIVING NATURE” to the petioled oak growing in the Summer Garden. The age of this oak is about 360 years. Planting seedlings from the oak of Peter’s time is a continuation of the tradition of planting oaks, which Peter I planted everywhere, where he was.
May 27, 2018 Labyrinth “Forest of Interethnic Unity” in the tourist and recreational landscape park “Bezhin meadow XXI century” is included in the Russian “Book of Records and Achievements” as the largest vegetative labyrinth. Information about this achievement is directed to the worldwide publication – “Guinness Book of Records”. The diameter of the vegetative labyrinth is 231 meters 25 cm, the total area of 41526, 5 square meters. meters.
