“CHERRY FOREST” FLOWED IN MIKHAILOVSKY GARDEN

Did you know that the Mikhailovsky Garden took part in the unique Cherry Forest art festival? The festival brings together a variety of art forms, from the once chamber music festival “Chereshnevy Les” has grown into one of the brightest events in the cultural life of Moscow. In 2003, it was held in two cities at once – Moscow and St. Petersburg. 250 artists, musicians and other participants of the festival went on a special train – Cherry Express – to conquer the northern capital with warmth.

Of course, the most symbolic part of the festival – the planting of the cherry forest took place in the Mikhailovsky Garden.

Each spring is marked by the appearance of a new alley of seedlings, embodying the renewal of art and the friendship of generations, without which it is impossible to imagine the development of culture.

Cherries in our garden were planted in 2003 and for 19 years every spring they delight us with their delicate flowers and aroma.
