SCIENTIFIC TOWN KOLTSOVO JOINED THE PROGRAM OF THE RUSSIAN MUSEUM “ALL-RUSSIAN OUBRAVA OF EMPEROR PETER THE GREAT”

On June 23, with the support of the Government of the Novosibirsk Region, the Koltsovo science city and the Sistema Charitable Foundation, a ceremonial planting of ten seedlings grown from acorns of the Petrovsky Oak, a monument of wildlife from the Summer Garden, took place.

The event was attended by representatives of the Russian Museum, the MTS digital ecosystem, the Etalon Group and the Sistema Charitable Foundation.

The All-Russian Oak Forest of Emperor Peter the Great consists of more than 530 oak trees in more than 60 cities around the world. These seedlings were grown from acorns of a monument of living nature – an oak tree from the Summer Garden, which witnessed the life and reign of Peter I and is a living reminder of his great achievements.

Planting seedlings from the historical oak tree of Peter the Great’s time is an invaluable contribution to the preservation of the unique natural and cultural historical heritage.
