The Russian Museum invites you to the excursion “Gardens of the Russian Museum during the Siege”, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the complete liberation of Leningrad from the Nazi siege.

Excursions will take place from January 18 to January 31. Residents and guests of the city will learn about the contribution of the employees of the Russian Museum and workers of the Summer and Mikhailovsky Gardens to the preservation of world-famous historical and cultural monuments during the siege of Leningrad, about their life and everyday life, and about the evacuation of the museum’s collections.

Visitors will be shown the places where the sculptures were hidden, and will also be told about those who looked after the gardens during this terrible time. The story is based on the diaries of museum staff and archival documents.

• On Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, tours begin at 13:00. On Thursday – at 13:30.
Duration – 1.5 hours.

The excursions are conducted by the leading specialist in scientific and educational activities of the Russian Museum, Viktor Melnikov.

Ticket price for adult visitors is 300 rubles.
For schoolchildren and students of secondary specialized educational institutions, students and pensioners – 150 rubles.
