The landmark event of the Moscow summer – the IX Moscow International Festival of Landscape Design “Moscow Flower Show-2020” – will be held for the first time in a virtual format. The event will be held with the support of the Department of Nature Management and Environmental Protection of the city of Moscow, GBU “Mospriroda” and the Moscow Chamber of Commerce.

From June 26 to July 5, amateurs and professionals from anywhere in the world will be able to visit the virtual stands of three hundred leading landscape design companies from twenty countries, communicate with eminent designers, architects and florists and personally evaluate the work presented in the competition program by participating in contest “Audience Award”.

2020 was declared the Year of Remembrance and Glory, and the theme of the festival’s competition will be Gardens of the World. Peace – as a common merit of our people, who won the Great Patriotic War, as an opportunity to live and create peace, but at the same time as a very fragile substance that requires careful treatment, including from the point of view of new challenges, such as ecology. 30 leading Russian and foreign designers, including fashionable Russian fashion designers Alyona Akhmadullina and Denis Gulyaev, will present their projects for the competition.

The projects will be evaluated by an international team of experts led by the permanent chairman of the MFS jury – James Alexander Sinclair, with the participation of Princess Marisol de la Tour d’Overgne and other leading industry experts.

Within the framework of the festival, the V anniversary children’s national contest of landscape design and gardening “Planet of Flowers” will be held. Also, for the first time, a competition was organized for amateur gardeners who could send photographs of their own works for the evaluation of the jury. Participants of the Smart Garden student contest are invited to create the concept of a smart garden of the future, combining current landscape design ideas and modern technologies.

This year, the Moscow Flower Show ONLINE expands the educational part of the festival, an important task of which is environmental education. The program includes numerous forums, webinars, master classes, live broadcasts and lectures from professionals in the landscape industry; special events prepared for children with special needs.

Also for virtual visitors will be organized Marketplace with goods from leading Russian and foreign manufacturers of the landscape industry.
