Tomorrow will open the Mikhailovsky Garden. Many citizens are already looking forward to meeting their favorite garden. It will be tomorrow, and now we will talk about one of the attractions of the garden.

This is a leafy oak growing in the Maslenny Meadow. In 2014, the Healthy Forest NPSA and MSU Forests, with the support of the Federal Forestry Agency, decided to assign this oak the status of TREE – A MONUMENT OF LIVING NATURE. The tree was corroded, its age was determined – 278 years. So this oak tree was planted in the time of Elizabeth Petrovna. At that time, gardeners usually planted 10-12 summer seedlings.

Oak has survived many dashing years and continues to delight visitors with its impressive appearance.
