The fact is that all the paths in the gardens of the Russian Museum are stuffed. This is a three-layer structure consisting of sand, crushed stone and granite screenings. With daily load, they require repair and restoration.

During the repair of the tracks along the entire length, the top layer of granite screenings is removed. Surveyors using theodolites draw up a leveling plan: the pits fall asleep, the hills are removed. Pegs are installed on which a leveling profile is attached, along which a new screening is subsequently laid out. Further, the entire area is shed with a large amount of water, compacted with a roller and rammed with a vibrating plate. After completing all the procedures, our famous tracks are obtained.

We are waiting for you for a walk in the gardens in May.
