Autumn is not only the harvest time, but also the time when new oak trees are born. Now acorns are falling from oak trees and they, falling to the ground, begin to give a root. In the spring, a sprout of a young oak appears, and after a few decades, a beautiful tree.

On September 23, the Summer Garden hosted the “Birthday of the Oak” holiday. During the holiday, acorns were planted from the monument oak within the framework of the project “All-Russian oak grove of Emperor Peter the Great”.

This year, the participants of the City of Muses inclusive project in the Summer Garden were engaged in planting acorns. First, the children and parents watched the performance, and then went to the Tea House. Where they listened to a story about an oak-monument of wildlife and instructions on the correct planting of acorns. Then the guests of the holiday collected the acorns and put them in pots.

In the future, the employees of the Summer Garden will grow oaks up to 3-5 years of age. And then they will be transferred to different cities and countries within the framework of the project “All-Russian oak grove of Emperor Peter the Great.”
