On September 9, planting of oak seedlings took place within the framework of the All-Russian Oak Forest of Peter the Great project. The action is timed to coincide with the 300th anniversary of the founding of Galley Harbor.

Saplings grown from the acorns of the oldest oak in the Summer Garden (360 years old) were planted on the territory of school No. 15, at 36 Shevchenko Street.

Pupils of the school, the administration of the Municipal Formation “Gavan” and employees of the gardens of the Russian Museum took part in planting oak trees.

The rainy weather did not stop us from planting three seedlings that will grow on the school grounds for many decades.

Each oak tree planted is assigned a certificate with an individual number, and all trees are entered into the register of hereditary seedlings and marked on the interactive map of the program.
