Despite the rain, the lawns in the Mikhailovsky Garden are covered with multi-colored varieties of crocus (Crocus vernus Hill.). It is a perennial corm plant of the Iris family.

In Europe, it has been used in horticulture since 1561. Crocuses were grown in Moscow gardens of the 17th century for the spring decoration of flower beds.

We remind you that 5 days are left before the opening of the gardens of the Russian Museum.
