On October 15, on the birthday of Mikhail Yuryevich Lermontov, an oak tree, a descendant of Peter the Great’s oak, was planted in the installation park near the Central Library named after the poet.

This tree is a monument of wildlife, thanks to which Yaroslavl was included in the interactive map of Russia of hereditary honorable seedlings.

Representatives of the administration of the Kirovsky and Leninsky districts of the Mayor’s Office of the city of Yaroslavl took part in planting the oak.
